During January-June 2021, Nordic ad spend amounted to 4.6 billion euro an increase by 17.6 percent when adjusted for exchange rate.
This is the largest increase for the Nordic market IRM ever recorded in a half year report. Fluctuating exchange rates have a particularly large impact on ad spend development during the beginning of this year as the local currencies in both Sweden and Norway have strengthened considerably in relation to the Euro compared to the exchange rate during the same period last year. The growth during this period was 21.7 percent when current exchange rates are applied.
